Original medication produced by the USA (Gilead) for highly effective (98% cure) antiviral therapy of .

One pills contains two active components Sofosbuvir + Ladipasvir. In one package, 28 pills.

On this site you will find a web link to the online pharmacy! There you can order (buy) the drug Harvoni without a prescription. On the over-the-counter!

Harvoni is an innovative drug for the treatment of the chronic form of hepatitis C genotype 1. It does not require a combination with ribavirin and interferon. He is the third approved cure for hepatitis C of this kind. Harvoni greatly simplifies the treatment of the disease and gives patients the opportunity to choose the appropriate course of therapy.

Hepatitis C is a serious disease that leads to irreversible changes in the liver – there is cirrhosis, liver failure, infections in the abdominal cavity develop, cancer is diagnosed. With the advent of a new drug, it became easier to fight the disease, and unpleasant reactions in patients began to occur less frequently.

The active substances of the drug – sophosbuvir and lepidasvir, entering the body, block the enzymes that cause the reproduction and development of the hepatitis C virus.

The effectiveness of the drug is proved by clinical trials! They were attended by more than 1500 people, who were randomly divided into two groups. In each fell patients, the first time treated, people with cirrhosis and those who had previous treatment with other drugs did not give a positive result.

One group within 12 weeks received Harvoni with ribavirin, the other – just Harvoni. The goal was to buy – to achieve a stable virologic response after the end of the course of treatment.

The first trial involved patients who had not previously been treated. After 8 weeks, 95% of them received a stable virologic response, which indicates a complete recovery. After 12 weeks, positive results were recorded in 97% of patients. In 99% of patients with cirrhosis, a persistent virologic response was obtained after 12 weeks of treatment. In the third case, the effect was achieved in the same period of time in 95% of patients with and without cirrhosis.
Thus, it has been established that Harvoni is good at curing genotype 1 hepatitis C without the use of ribavirin.

Indications for use:

The drug Harvoni is intended for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C of genotype 1, in patients with cirrhosis and without it. Harvoni is effective for patients who are being treated for the first time and for patients with ineffective experience of treating hepatitis C with interferon and ribavirin or if there is intolerance to these medications.

Mode of application:

Harvoni is taken one tablet a day with meals. The pill is not recommended to chew or grind, it is better to swallow it and drink a little water. The medicine gives the best effect, if it is taken every day at the same time.

If, for some reason, the drug is missed, take the medicine as soon as you remember it or skip the dose and take it at the usual time. The use of a double dose is not allowed !!!

Take Harvoni even if you feel good or, conversely, there are minor side effects in the form of headaches, fatigue. For patients diagnosed with hepatitis C genotype, 1 course of treatment is 12 weeks. Patients with compensated cirrhosis should take the drug for 24 weeks. The same applies to patients undergoing re-treatment.

The most accurate recommendations for dosage and duration of treatment can be obtained from the attending physician, who prescribes the medicine based on the individual characteristics of the patient.

If, after the end of the 12-week course of therapy with the drug, there is no sustained virologic effect, the patient does not feel better, the treatment should be discontinued, since further treatment with Harvoni will not work. If the remedy is ineffective, you should choose and order another medicine for treatment. Perhaps you are more suitable price (cost).

Side effects:

Reception Harvoni (Harvoni) can cause a number of side effects:

  • Headache;
  • General fatigue.

In rare cases, severe allergic reactions.

At the first reception of a preparation it is necessary to listen attentively to the sensations. If there is severe itching, swelling of the face, tongue, lips, severe shortness of breath, therapy should be urgently interrupted and no longer treated with this medication.

Most often after the beginning of the course of taking Harvoni, the patient feels mild ailments in the form of headaches, lethargy, so it makes sense to bring the treatment to an end in order to achieve full recovery. If the drug is used in combination with ribavirin, the number of side effects increases.

The drug is safe enough for patients with cirrhosis, but treatment should be prescribed by a doctor and treated with caution. In general, the drug is transferred easily and gives a greater chance of recovery.

Contraindications to the use of the drug Harvoni are: an allergic reaction to one of the components of the drug, pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding, children under 18 years.

It is forbidden to take another medication containing somosbuvir – an overdose, an increase in side effects.

Do not take drugs with elvitegravir, tenofovir, emtricitabine.

Contraindicated treatment with carbamazepine, rosuvastatin, St. John’s wort, rifampin, tipranavir, phenytoin. They reduce the effect of taking Harvoni.

Caution is necessary in the presence of renal and hepatic insufficiency. In this case, the medication should be taken under the close supervision of the doctor.

During the course of treatment Harvoni woman must use reliable methods of contraception, since the drug can have a negative effect on the fetus. Until the end of its effect on pregnant women has not been studied. If you need to undergo a course of therapy, breastfeeding will have to be abandoned, since the medicine is able to enter the body of a child with milk.

Children drug is not assigned – its effectiveness and impact on the children’s body has not been studied. Harvoni is accepted only on prescription of the doctor in established doses. If a strong adverse reaction has occurred after taking the medication, then the course should be immediately interrupted. If other medications are used during the treatment, this should be reported to the doctor.

Interaction with other drugs:

Harvoni is effective in combination with other drugs against hepatitis C.

In the case of an overdose, Harvoni should consult a doctor and go through a series of examinations to determine the effect of an increased dose of active substances on the body. There is no sufficient data on the effect of an overdose.

Storage conditions:

The drug Harvoni should be stored in a dry, dark place inaccessible to children. Shelf life is two years.

Form of issue:

Harvoni is available in the form of diamond-shaped tablets of orange color, coated with a shell.

1 pill Harvoni contains active ingredient, lepidasvir – 90 mg, and sophosbuvir – 400 mg.

Hepatitis C

Treatment of hepatitis C Harvoni

The virus of hepatitis C was received a year ago. Treatment is known to be long-term. I try to use all new products. This medicine was discussed with the attending physician. There are contraindications, but there are many positive things. One of the pluses is the price.

I took the drug for 12 weeks, very scrupulously – I started the alarm clock to take medicine at the exact same time. Recently handed over analyzes – there is a positive dynamics. I will continue taking the drug for another 12 weeks.

No one needs to explain what grief comes to a family when one of its members is given a terrible diagnosis – hepatitis C.

His brother discovered hepatitis C, blood tests, damage to the body was great, the virus put the liver, and the liver undermined immunity, according to the results of the virus analysis there were 8 million pieces.

But the doctor reassured that the diagnosis of Hepatitis C is not yet a sentence, the body is young and the chance is not bad, I prescribed a lot of drugs, I honestly never saw such prices for medicines, and I had to treat at least six months.

Our family is not rich, even on credit, we could not scrape together such a sum. Appealed to another doctor, he advised Generic Harvoni, a drug with the same spectrum of action, but the price was lower at times, this amount we mastered.

My brother took this drug for 7 months, pobochki, of course, were in the form of nausea and dizziness, weakness, but the brother’s reception continued, after 4 weeks it became more and more normal, and after 16 weeks, and the disease began to gradually recede, the analysis showed that the amount of the virus was reduced to 600 units.
After a full course of treatment, the virus was not found in the body. Now it’s been 6 months since receiving the last Harvoney tablet, my brother recently did an analysis – the disease did not return. The doctor said that with a probability of 90%, it can be argued that this recovery, I hope it will.

Health to you!

When she found out that I had hepatitis C, she was in prostate for two months, then she regained control of herself, started antiviral therapy. I decided to start with generics – the effect, as they say, is the same, and the cost is several times lower. Acquired Indian “Harvoni” as the most suitable for my genotype. Three months of treatment lasted, and regular tests were given, at week 10 the load was already 500 units. And after 12 weeks came the results, which I waited with a sinking heart. And, here is happiness – negative, the virus is not found! Now I am in remission, I regularly take tests.

Firstly, it is Harvoni generic, the brand value reaches several thousand per tablet. So it’s a generic. But pharmacologically this is an exact copy of the Harvoni. And the effect is the same, so I do not see any reason to overpay for the brand. Secondly, it is much more convenient in taking many similar drugs, because it contains in its composition sophosbuvir with lepidavir. Prior to this, I, for example, planned to take Sowaldi, in which only sophosbuvir, eventually had to buy more lepidavir, and find him yet, usually he is in the complex. And in general, do not forget about the admission at a certain time, two different tablets would have to be, and then just once a day, drink one tablet of water.

During the treatment, planned blood tests were carried out: general, detailed and biochemistry. The degree of viral load decreased, especially in liver enzymes, at the end of the planned treatment period, 12 weeks, hepatitis was not detected in the assays under the stamp.

The peculiarities of treatment can be attributed only to the refusal of a number of medicines, including natural origin, for example, St. John’s wort is generally prohibited, because it blocks the action of the drug, worsening the general condition.

There is growing evidence that cannabis can help offer a respite from the symptoms of depression, so here are our top 5 strains to lend a hand.

Cannabis Strains Against Depression

It’s no secret that smoking cannabis can be a very uplifting and rewarding experience, and it is harnessed everyday by thousands of people for just that – helping to relieve the symptoms of depression. It is something that has been acknowledged by both anecdotal reports and science, and research institutions are even looking to how it can be harnessed as a prescribed drug.

However, although cannabis certainly has potential to help, it is important to understand that it is not a cure for depression, but rather, a temporary relief. Beating depression is not just about feeling energized and active, if it was, curing it would be as simple as drinking an energy drink. It is about relieving a weary mind, soothing it, and allowing it to relax.

Sativa strains are stereotypically seen as the go to strains for this; but for many, a pure sativa can actually be too much. For this reason, a sativa dominant hybrid, that is both activating and a bit sedating at the same time, tends to be the most preferred choice. Also, generally speaking, you want to stay away from pure indicas, as couch-lock can be pretty counter-productive where depression is involved.

At the end of the day, everyone is different, and will need to find their own balance, but the following 5 strains are all great places to start.

Blue Dream - Humboldt Seeds

Blue Dream is a high yielding sativa dominant hybrid that both uplifts the mind whilst easing tension, anxiety, and stress. It is the child Blueberry x Haze, and produces some of the tastiest, fruitiest bud around. It is a fast grower, taking roughly 65-70 days to flower, and produces yields that should keep you stocked up for quite a while to come.

AK47 - Serious Seeds

Dubbed the “one-hit wonder”, AK-47 is a strain of cannabis that can take even the most season of smokers by surprise. It is an extremely potent sativa dominant hybrid that has won various awards for its quality (it is one of the most decorated strains of all time!). With a flowering time of 53-63 days, AK-47 is a strain with both fast turnaround, and high that relaxes both body and mind, relieving anxiety, and whisking you away far up into the clouds.

Amnesia Haze - Royal Queen Seeds

A coffeeshop favorite, Amnesia Haze is well known for its potent potential to relax the mind (the name kind of gives it away!). Expect high yields of some tasty top shelf stuff; with a flowering time 63-70 days, this bud turn your consciousness off, giving your mind an opportunity to recuperate.RELATED STORYTHE TOP 10 MEDICAL CANNABIS STRAINS

If you’re lucky enough to live in an area where medical marijuana is legal, you’re likely familiar with the abundance of cannabis strains out there.

Jack Herer - Greenhouse Seeds

Another classic, the Jack Herer strain of cannabis was named after one of the most prominent and influential cannabis activists of our time. It is a mix of Haze x Red Skunk, and has a flowering time of roughly 56 days. As a testament to its genetics, Jack Herer has become an extremely sought after strain the world over – having won at least 12 awards. Much like the other sativa dominant strains of this list, it is both activating and relaxing at the same time, affecting both mind and body.

Girl Scout Cookies - Cali Connection

Last but not least, Girl Scout Cookies is a West Coast legend shrouded in mystery. What we do know is that this beauty can really blow your troubles out of the water, easing tension, relaxing the mind, and melting away anxiety. She is well worth a go, especially when you consider she flowers in as little as 55-63 days.

There is no one-stop, easy cure to depression, but hopefully the above strains can offer some degree of comfort in the fight against it.

Cannabis And The American Economy

Americans share an expansive border with Canada, where cannabis has been legalized on a federal level. If the United States followed suit, there would be substantial savings for its law enforcement. In 2013, the ACLU estimated the annual cost of enforcing federal laws against cannabis to be approximately $3.6 billion. There has already been a lot of investment into the cannabis industry, even without the approval of the federal government and major financial institutions. The industry has pressed on, conducting transactions mostly through hard cash, or sometimes industry-specific cryptocurrency.

Arcview predicts North American cannabis sales to surpass $20 billion by 2021, if not sooner. The grey area of federal prohibition in the US casts uncertainty on the industry. Yet, there is confidence in the industry’s benefits on the ground. In 2015 alone, Colorado collected more than $135 million in tax revenue from the cannabis industry. The industry itself has knock-on effects, aside from creating thousands of jobs. Residents of Denver who lived near a cannabis dispensary found their local average home value raised by $27,000.

Arcview Market Research reported $6.7 billion in North American cannabis sales for 2016. This was before lucrative markets in Nevada, Maine, Massachusetts, and California were established. California’s reforms are particularly significant, not just for the state’s long-standing cannabis culture, but for the size of its economy, rivalling that of most G20 nations. According to a study from ICF International, Californian cannabis could could exceed $15 billion in sales revenue and $3 billion in tax revenue.

With so much growth in the industry, it may seem like the perfect time to get a job in cannabis. California serves as an interesting case though, with farmers now facing more regulations and taxes than they did under California’s previous laws. While regulations are generally there to protect consumers and improve product quality, Californian cultivators are now earning less. Steve Schain of the Hoban Law Group recently told The Guardian, “Presently, no one in legalized marijuana is getting rich”.

Established names in pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and alcohol are financing huge farms of hundreds of thousands of feet to compete against small farmers. If such cannabis floods the market, the average price should drop over time. This outlook is concerning for some cannabis advocates, especially if it means the corporatisation and gentrification of the cannabis industry pushes out smaller craft cultivators. Activists in different states are looking for ways to stop the spread of corporate monopolies. The business world presses on. Businesses of all sizes are getting into a crowded game, so they’re now looking for advantageous resources in the staff they hire.

“Budtender” is the term that has arisen for those who sell cannabis in dispensaries. Advising customers according to their needs does not just require skills in customer service and salesmanship; the in-depth knowledge of a strain connoisseur will make your job application stand out. There is demand for more budtenders in the industry. Forbes reports that American budtenders are paid between $12–16 per hour. That’s not bad, as long as neither the cost of living nor the minimum wage go up. Mike Adams at Forbes argues at least one of those definitely will at some point soon, putting those wages in some perspective.

But then, budtender is just one role in an industry requiring skilled workers in science, agriculture, marketing, PR, and so much more. Forbes highlights a report revealing different pay grades in the cannabis industry. Highest earners include Director of Cultivation (up to $250,000 per year), Director of Extraction (up to $191,000 per year), and Outside Sales Representative (up to $150,000 per year). Taking the industry as a whole, the average hourly wage in Colorado is around $23, according to the Denver Business Journal. The Sacramento Business Journal concluded the average hourly wage in California’s cannabis industry is closer to $25.

Entering the cannabis industry requires you to bring your skills to the game. With so many different aspects to the industry, you can find a role that appeals to your strengths. Cultivation, production, quality control, financial services, copywriting, and so many other areas need passionate workers with focus and drive. The novelty of legal cannabis will attract a lot of interest, so the business will be competitive—especially if North America is the first domino that spreads legalization throughout the world. Then there will be opportunities for many countries who are likely to legalize in the 2020s. Who knows what we’ll be looking back on at the end of the next decade!

So, we have discussed the influence of cannabis on the american economy. Let’s see how it affected the development of american strains!

Over the past decade, some incredible new cannabis strains from american origin have been introduced such as the Bruce Banner, Gorilla Glue and, the latest addition: the amazing Monster Zkittlez. Next to that, the United States brought us some true iconic strains. We have listed the top 10 classic cannabis strains from the USA, so take a look if you are interested in American Strains!

Is CBD Safe for Kids?

Is CBD Safe for Kids?

Can you give CBD to kids and what are the proper doses?

Is It Safe To Give Your Kids CBD?

can kids have cbd

Cannabidiol (CBD) has been gaining steam in the United States, with more people starting to incorporate it into their lifestyle each day.

It isn’t surprising, considering that this powerful cannabinoid has potent healing properties for adults. People use CBD as a supplement for overall wellness, but it can also help treat a great deal of debilitating conditions.

But parents might be wondering if the health benefits of CBD can also be applied to kids. The answer is yes: only if you are giving your kids hemp-derived CBD.

CBD can not only help adults with anxiety and epilepsy, but it can also help kids as well. We also know that CBD is safe for adults to take without worry of side effects, and the same applies for kids. Even the World Health Organization (WHO) says that there are no adverse health risks found in kid who use CBD.

There are many reputable companies online that sell CBD products in various forms, which can be used to administer on children. These include oils, tinctures, sprays, edibles, capsules, balms, and many more. Parents just need to take the extra precaution in researching which companies you’re buying from, as well as the product. It’s important that you are giving your child hemp-derived CBD and not cannabis-derived CBD; the best way to be sure is to look up laboratory tests or talk to a trusted doctor who knows their way around CBD.

Having said that, here are some common conditions for which you can give your child CBD:

  • Anxiety: More and more people are getting affected by anxiety, and it isn’t just adults. Kids are affected by anxiety too. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 5% of kids between 3 to 17 years of age have anxiety and depression.

Studies show that anti-anxiety and antidepressant medications are among the most addictive out there, and they have horrific side effects. These are even worse when you give it to children who are more vulnerable because they’re still growing. Just don’t. Give your kids CBD instead to help them deal with mental conditions.

  • Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD): ADD and ADHD are typically treated using Adderall and Ritalin. Again, these have serious side effects that can even have long-lasting implications on your children.

The medical community believes that attention-deficit disorders are usually triggered by a lack of dopamine production in the brain. Instead of turning to pharmaceuticals, you can give your child some CBD because it works with the serotonin receptors in the brain to reduce anxiety while addressing the symptoms of attention-deficit disorders.

  • Sleep disorder: In some cases, your kid isn’t faking being unable to fall asleep. There could be a real, underlying sleep disorder there. It can be painful for parents to see kids struggling with anything including falling asleep because the lack of proper rest can seriously impede your child’s physical and cognitive development.

Pediatric sleep disorders vary based on severity and the good news is that many of them can easily be treated. CBD oil is known for its relaxing properties; studies also show that CBD oil in particular is helpful for treating anxiety and insomnia among children.

  • Epilepsy: Perhaps the most widely documented condition of CBD’s efficacy on kids is epilepsy. Studies have been done all around the world, and they all come back with the same results: CBD is safe and effective for treating pediatric epilepsy. For many parents, it’s the only thing that’s worked for their children, making CBD a truly life-saving medication that gives kids the ability to enjoy life once again.

In fact, there has even been a documented case of an infant who has successfully been treated with CBD oil. Amylea Nunez, who was born in December 2015, had a rare case of epilepsy that triggered frequent seizures throughout the day, sometimes preventing her from waking up. She was given CBD oil treatment when she was just 2 months old, and by the time she turned half a year old, she showed significant improvements in her condition.

There you have it! Parents, if there’s one thing you can do as early as possible, it’s to never (or at least stop) make your kids walk down the path of Big Pharma to treat their conditions. The answer lies in all-natural, safe, and non-addictive CBD.

My Kid Ate My Weed

My Kid Ate My Weed

Raw Cannabis Digestion May Be The Next Super Food

My Kid Ate My Weed

Nothing makes you feel like a shitty human being more than walking into the living room to find your 1 year old daughter scooting around with your drugs hanging from her mouth.

Before you call social services on me, at least let me explain.

When I say drugs, I mean raw cannabis. A little bud must have fallen out of my sack, onto the ground and found its way into her snaggle toothed mouth whilst she was crawling around during play time.

My first reaction when I found her chowing down on my stash was to rush over, snatch it from her mouth and then viciously berate myself over how low I’ve come in life…. So that’s what I did.

I beat myself up. I called myself a drug addict. I wondered how I could be so careless as to put my own child in harms way.

Why though? If I believe in the healing properties of marijuana with such resolve as I claim, did I have a reason to hold myself in such contempt?

If we think alike, when you hear the word drug, the first image that pops into your head is a needle. Not a clean one either. I’m talking about a scabby, overused heroin needle. If we are going to evaluate my reaction based upon the view of the popular majority, it must be understood that a filthy needle, (or similar alternative ), is exactly the representative that appears before most people’s minds when the word “drug” is presented because the representation of a needle reflects the mainstream view of marijuana demonization. The needle represents an abysmal level of addiction that a drug user has stooped to and the inferred apparition is a diluted belief that any person, who uses any drug, in any form or by any means, has a serious problem and plays Russian Roulette daily with a loaded gun of severe health penalties.

Children shouldn’t play with guns, right?

No they shouldn’t; and while all these thoughts passed through me in the blink of an eye, if you’re reading this article chances are fair that you don’t need me to inform you about the prejudicial victimization that has been shown by government institutions, wealthy corporations and religious organizations worldwide, bringing the planet’s most useful herb into disrepute. We’ve been deceived for most of our lives, having been warned repeatedly of the illusory dangers of cannabis. Decades of lies cannot be forgotten overnight can they?

They cannot, but the best way to dispel the darkness is to introduce it to the light, so step into the light with me. See, what I found after my stash was happened upon by my child flies in the face of literally everything I have ever been told about cannabis and the way it interacts with the human body.

What did I find then?

Raw weed. If your kids accidentally eat it, should you call the poison control center?

The simple answer to this question is no, but be that as it may, in light of the above understanding of the word “drug” you may desire more than a one word answer, (a lifetime of disinformation and all that), so sit tight- the following information may change your entire view on one of the world’s most dangerously hyped illicit substances.

The first positive about consuming raw cannabis, especially when viewed in the context of accidental consumption by children, is that it cannot get you high. Since heat is necessary to convert the THC-A, (THC Acid), in raw cannabis into THC, its psychoactive component, ingesting marijuana through methods such as juicing provides a way of obtaining an overload of the plant’s benefits, without getting stoned.

“That’s positive; no high?” You ask.

Sure it is. That’s not only great news for kids who eat their parents weed, but for athletes, businessmen and parents on the go.

Juicing raw cannabis is actually a popular method for many people who desire to take advantage of the plant in its raw form daily. Juicing it enables the user to take advantage of the medical properties of the most useful cannabinoids found therein, without exceeding the tolerable limit. The plants most powerful medicinal property, CBD, is made more readily available to your body through this raw consumption method by giving the chemical a significant advantage as a medicine; offering all of the pluses delivered at higher doses with minimal side effects. Basically what I am getting at is this: you don’t have to be sick to reap the benefits of raw cannais and you are able to administer it at far higher doses than with edibles or oils.

Essential Amino Acids, anti-microbial and anti-oxidizing… these may all be alien words associated with cannabis, but believe it or not, there are moves being made in the medical community that are advocating for this association to be recognized worldwide. Along with the trio of fancy words above, there’s a whole congregation of trusted names that add to the credibility of cannabis as a nutritional powerhouse.

Flavonoids- a plant metabolite attributed to an array of health benefits joins rockstar couple Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids that are also introduced with the consumption of raw cannabis.

Medical professionals like Dr. William Courtney recommend the use of raw cannabis as a nutritional supplement to be taken in the interest of general good health just as one might take a vitamin to try ensure that all that their body’s internal systems are running smoothly.

“Five years ago,” he explains in an article detailing the power of raw cannabis, “I wouldn’t prescribe cannabis for follow on to medical school because I was such a skeptic and now it’s really clear to me that cannabis is a vegetable. It’s not psychoactive until humans alter it, so the whole psychoactive thing is a human aspect of the plant and has nothing to do with 34 million years of evolution that plant has… it’s a dietary essential so I never even refer to it as medicine anymore.”

If you’re like me you just reread that quote a couple of times over. The implications of all that cannabis can do for us as a continually evolving species is astounding and advancements like the ones Dr. Courtney and his team are responsible for present us with an exciting picture of the role cannabis is to play in all of our futures.

On a much smaller scale however, in the role of continually evolving parenthood, there is no reason to beat yourself up if your kid eats your weed. On the contrary,  you should probably be patting yourself on the back for promoting good health…but as much as I hate to cut this conversation short, I’ve been sitting here writing while my daughter plays and now lunchtime is upon us… has anyone seen my bag of weed?

Stay responsible folks.

Medications and Treatment Approaches for Management of Anxiety

Medications and Treatment Approaches for Management of Anxiety

How to Relax With and Without Medications

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

More in Generalized Anxiety Disorder

If you have persistent anxiety that is impacting your life on a recurrent basis, your symptoms may be caused by an anxiety disorder. Often, anxiety disorders are treatable with medication, counseling, and therapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy. There are also a number of lifestyle methods that you can use to reduce your anxiety level.

Anti-Anxiety Medications

Anti-anxiety medications have physical effects on the brain and the body, which can help reduce the symptoms of anxiety, such as worry, fear, and panic attacks. These medications must be prescribed by a doctor, often by a psychiatrist.

Anti-anxiety medications are not cures for anxiety disorders, but they can help manage some of the symptoms.

There are a number of different anti-anxiety medications available, and the right medication for you depends on your type of anxiety disorder and whether you have other health problems or take other medications.

Benzodiazepines such as Valium (diazepam), Xanax (alprazolam), Klonopin(clonazepam) and Ativan (lorazepam) are sometimes used to treat anxiety for a short-term period. They are used for generalized anxiety disorder and may be used as a second-line treatment for panic disorder and social anxiety disorder, with antidepressants being the front-line choices. Benzodiazepines induce muscle relaxation and reduce other symptoms related to anxiety. These medications are not typically used long-term because they can cause addiction.

Beta blockers are used to control heart disease. They help reduce your heart rate and blood pressure by blocking the effects of epinephrine, a stimulant that your body naturally produces. Beta-blockers can help control trembling, sweating, and other physical symptoms of anxiety. They may be prescribed for the short term when used for anxiety. Sectral (acebutolol), Tenormin (atenolol), Inderal LA (propranolol), are a few beta-blockers. Common side effects include weight gain, fatigue, and cold hands and feet. Beta-blockers are not recommended if you have asthma or diabetes.

BuSpar (buspirone) may be prescribed for long-term treatment of chronic anxiety, and it’s recognized as a treatment for generalized anxiety disorder. It increases the action of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that helps improve mood and reduce anxiety. Buspar takes one to two weeks for initial effects to be felt and can take four to six weeks for the full effect. Because of this, it is not considered effective for the treatment of anxiety attacks, and it must be taken consistently in order to have an effect on symptoms. It is less sedating than many of the other commonly used anti-anxiety medications, and it is non-addictive and has a low risk of overdose. Possible side effects include dizziness, headache, nervousness, and trouble sleeping.

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs)

Often used as a first-line treatment for anxiety disorders, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) include medications like Paxil (paroxetine), Prozac (fluoxetine), Zoloft (sertraline) and Lexapro (escitalopram). SSRIs are considered antidepressants and they increase the amount of serotonin in the brain, which helps improve mood. Side effects include headaches, dry mouth, drowsiness, sexual dysfunction, diminished sex drive, and weight gain. As with many antidepressants, they can increase the risk of suicidal ideation (thinking about or planning suicide), particularly in children, teenagers, and young adults.

Serotonin-Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs)

Another common category of medications used for anxiety are the serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), which are antidepressants, and include medications like Effexor (venlafaxine), Cymbalta (duloxetine), and Pristiq (desvenlafaxine). SNRIs increase the levels of serotonin and norepinephrine to help boost mood and are similar in effectiveness to SSRIs. Side effects are similar to those of SSRIs.

Tricyclic Antidepressants

Tricyclic anti depressants are also used in treating anxiety. Common medications in this class are Tofranil (imipramine), Elavil (amitriptyline), Pamelor (nortriptyline) and Anafranil (clomipramine). Side effects may include constipation, dry mouth, blurry vision, a decrease in blood pressure when standing, and urinary retention (decreased ability to urinate).

Use as Directed

All of the anti-anxiety medications have side effects, and they can have serious adverse events if they are overused or used incorrectly. Many of them can affect your heart rate, blood pressure, and level of alertness. They may cause loss of consciousness or even death when used in excessive amounts, in combination with other medications that interact with the central nervous system, or with alcohol or recreational drugs. Many of the antidepressants that are used for anxiety can also induce suicidal ideation.

Anti-Anxiety Lifestyle Strategies

A mental health professional can help you identify the specific coping strategy and lifestyle changes that can help you manage your symptoms. Some examples of strategies a professional may encourage you to try may include:

  • Exercising
  • Meditation
  • Spiritual practice
  • Dancing
  • Going for a walk
  • Writing and journaling
  • Sitting down for a few minutes
  • Watching the sunset or sunrise
  • Spending time with a friend
  • Practicing gratitude
  • Focusing on the positive aspects of your life
  • Planning a day to do nothing and following through with it
  • Taking a nap
  • Indulging in your favorite food
  • Doing a crossword puzzle or sudoku
  • Watching a comedy or funny online video
  • Spending time with your dog or cat
  • Planning a vacation and visualizing the setting
  • Massaging your temples for a few minutes

A Word From Verywell

If you have anxiety, medication can help because the medications used for anxiety alter the chemicals in your body and brain, reducing symptoms, and often helping you calm down and focus on other things. Other approaches to symptom relief, such as counseling and developing relaxation techniques, can also reduce your anxiety. Often, a combination of approaches is needed to alleviate your symptoms.

Can Cannabis Help Panic Attacks and Disorders?

Marijuana Now Treating Panic, Stress, and Anxiety Attacks

While everyone reacts to fear and stressful events differently, it’s a world away from how it happens to those who suffer from panic disorders. Simply put, it feels like the world is going to end.

Panic disorder is a serious condition that can happen without any sign or warning. It can take place anywhere: while you’re at work, showering, in a party, or even as you are relaxing at home. Panic disorders are characterized by sudden attacks of extreme nervousness and fear accompanied by a racing heart and sweating. Other common symptoms include shortness of breath, feeling like you’re about to die, feeling faint, dizziness, trembling, chest pain, and intense feelings of dread. It usually occurs in non-threatening situations, but to the person who suffers from panic disorder, the fear response goes out of control. When this happens frequently, those afflicted with the condition become so afraid of the next panic attack that it affects their ability to live a normal life. Panic disorder is also a co-occurring disease to other conditions such as substance abuse, depression, and anxiety.

The exact cause of panic disorders is still not understood although it seems that a combination of factors contribute to a higher risk for developing the condition. These include a family history of panic disorder, abnormalities in the brain that control fight or flight responses, substance abuse, and major life stresses such as death of a loved one or loss of a job.

Treatment of panic disorders vary, often a combination of psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, and anti-depressants. These medications include Xanax, Zoloft, Ativan, or Paxil; all of which are addicting and can have serious long-term side effects.

How Can Cannabis Help?

Cannabis is an excellent natural alternative to these medications in treating panic attacks without the side effects. It’s widely used in the treatment of panic disorders as well as anxiety. When anandamide, what we know of as the “bliss molecule”reacts with the THC in cannabis, it creates a calming effect to the body, providing immediate soothing relief for someone suffering from panic attacks.

Several studies also show that other compounds in cannabis have a beneficial effect on calming down those who suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. This 2011 showed that cannabidiol (CBD) significantly decreased cognitive impairment, discomfort, and anxiety in patients who had social phobia before they were asked to participate in simulated public speaking.

2014 study led by researchers in Vanderbilt University provides valuable insight on how cannabis affects the brain’s fight-or-flight response; although the study analyzed the effects on anxiety, the results are also extremely beneficial for those suffering from panic disorders. This is the first study that identified cannabinoid receptors in a mouse’s amygdala, particularly in the central nucleus. According to Sachin Patel MD, PhD, professor of Psychiatry and of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics and the study’s senior author, the findings “could be highly important for understanding how cannabis exerts its behavioral effects”. Patel said that other studies in Vanderbilt could suggest that the endocannabinoid system plays an important role in regulating anxiety and the brain’s response to stress by inhibiting excitatory signals that affect the neurotransmitter glutamate.

What’s also striking is that they suggest stress, both chronic or acute as well as severe emotional trauma reduces the production of endocannabinoids and also affects how responsive the receptors are. Because the endocannabinoids and the receptors are no longer “buffering” in the brain, anxiety increases. However, they also found that chronic use of marijuana can worsen anxiety, which tells us that people suffering from panic disorders and anxiety benefit more from taking small doses or microdoses.

Another study also found that THC has many strikingly similar characteristics with anandamide. Because both anandamide and THC act on the same pathways in the brain, both are crucial in helping people deal with stressful situations. It’s no surprise that people who are always stressed find relief from using pot.

Many users rely on cannabis for its calming properties, whether they have panic disorders or not. This alone proves how useful the plant is in promoting relaxation. There are dozens of great strains that are ideal for providing immediate relief for anxiety; some find that it’s more effective to smoke it while others prefer to vape in order to calm down.

What to Expect on Your First Visit to a Dispensary or Retail Cannabis Shop

What to Expect on Your First Visit to a Dispensary or Retail Cannabis Shop

The allure of legal cannabis is undeniable, and it’s been drawing crowds from every generation. Baby boomers who gave up cannabis decades ago are rekindling their relationship with the plant. Medical marijuana patients are seeking out dispensaries that carry the strain or product they need to help relieve their symptoms. And legal adults are becoming interested in discovering cannabis for wellness purposes.

For those who are curious about cannabis and have no idea where to start, we’re here for you. Although dispensaries may be legal in your state now, it can still feel intimidating to step inside one and not know what to do, which questions to ask, and how to find the products you want. Here’s what to expect on your first visit to a dispensary or recreational cannabis store.

Expect to Be Carded

Stack of passports

This goes for adult consumers as well as for medical marijuana patients. Whether you’ve just turned 21 or pushing 70, keep your state-issued identification handy. If you have a medical marijuana recommendation, make sure it’s still valid (most recommendations are good for six months to a year), and be prepared to hand over your ID along with your recommendation. It’s good practice to make a habit of it. Your budtender will appreciate not having to ask for both.

Be Prepared

Check out the Finder and read reviews of your local dispensaries and retail shops. Shops range in caliber, style, and selection, so read the reviews before making a choice. We often featured high rated shop List; these are generally going to have some of the best, most informed employees.

All this preparation will come in handy when you’re trying to order, and it will keep you from being that guy in the dispensary — you know, the one who stands slack-jawed, staring at the menu while the customers in line behind him tap their feet impatiently? Don’t be that guy.

You May Be Required to Wait

People in waiting room

This is fairly standard procedure, especially in the medical market. In many states, regulations require dispensaries to serve only one patient at a time, so you may need to take a seat and wait your turn. This is a great time to check out the dispensary menu and think about what products you’d like.

Ask Questions

Whether you know what you want ahead of time or not, one of the best ways to get your bearings during a dispensary visit is to ask your budtender. Get recommendations on strains they like, or ask for strains that might be best suited for your needs. Let the budtender be your guide. Looking for something to settle your tummy? Ask. Looking for a bright sativa to inspire you to finally deep-clean your house? Ask. There are no stupid questions. Budtenders have heard it all.

Make Sure You Have Enough Cash for Your Purchase

Cannabis can be pretty pricey. Although more dispensaries and retail shops are offering cashless ATM systems for purchasing, most cannabis shops remain cash only. Before you visit, check to see whether they accept cards or have an ATM onsite. Otherwise, be prepared and bring cash. This will help your purchase go as smoothly as possible.

Don’t Feel Pressured

Woman taking her card back from cashier

Not sure about your purchase after all? Is the budtender rubbing you the wrong way? That’s OK. You are under no obligation to spend your hard-earned money, especially on a product that you’re unsure about. (Remember: In most cases, returns are forbidden by law. Once you buy it, it’s yours.) Occasionally budtenders will be less informed on strains. You don’t need to take their recommendations just to be polite. Let them know what you want, and if they recommend a product you’re not interested in, simply say no thanks.

How Was Your Experience?

Woman with thumbs up

After your first visit, reflect on the service you received, the quality of the products you purchased, and the shop’s general atmosphere. Did you feel unwelcome? Let them know. Did you feel you could be honest with your budtender? Did your budtender answer all your questions and help you find the right products? Let them know. This is also the perfect time to visit the store’s page and leave an honest review about your experience. This helps employees improve their service, allows you to give credit where credit’s deserved, and provides future visitors with a sense of what to expect on a first visit of their own.

After you’ve selected a shop, you have one of two options as a first-time buyer:

  1. You can go in and trust that the budtender will make a good recommendation.
  2. Do a little research to get a better idea of which products may be better suited for you.

We recommend option two—if you take a look at your local store’s menu, you may quickly find yourself overwhelmed by the options available. Looking for bud? • Flower (“I want to smoke or vaporize it!”)
  • Concentrates (“I want to try these discreet vape pens!”)
  • Edibles (“I want something that’ll last longer!”)
  • Pre-rolls (“Roll it for me, please!”)

What Are Magic Tuffles?

What Are Magic Tuffles?

  • Magic truffles are a type of mushroom that grows beneath the ground and are better known for their hallucinogenic and psychedelic effects. Magic truffles contain the substances psilocin and psilocybin, which causes these effects. These are the same substances that are in magic mushrooms.

The largest difference is that magic truffles grow beneath the surface and that magic mushrooms grow aboveground. The official name for the magic truffle is Sclerotium. They are also known under the name “trip tubers” or “Philosopher’s Stones”.

A new world opens before your eyes you when you take magic truffles. You go to places that you’ve never been before and see things that others can’t. For many people, the effects are therapeutic. I personally believe the world would be a different place if everybody took magic truffles a few times a year.

For new users, it is important to know what type of truffle you should take and how much of it you should take. The situation in which you take the truffles and your mood are also important. In this article, I will tell you everything you need to know about magic truffles, their use and a little bit about the history of magic truffles. Pay particular notice to the links in this article, because they go deeper into particular topics.

What are magic truffles?

Magic truffles aren’t actually mushrooms, but a very special finding of the fungus to survive difficult times. If the aboveground circumstances are so bad that the mushroom could not survive, the fungus can’t reproduce, since the mushrooms cannot produce the spores that are necessary for reproduction. For these situations, Mother Nature gave the fungus the possibility of growing its fruits below ground.

The hypha clout together and form a buffer for water and nutrients, allowing the fungus to survive. Not all fungus species are capable of doing this, but luckily there are plenty that do and contain the psychoactive substances psilocybin and psilocin. It is very difficult to grow these truffles, but thanks to our collaboration with the oldest truffle growers in the Netherlands, we are able to grow the best truffles in the world!

The difference between magic truffles and magic mushrooms

Some people confuse magic truffles with magic mushrooms, but they are two different types of products. From a biological perspective, “a survival mechanism of a growing fungus” is the most accurate description of a truffle. A fungus can grow into a mushroom, but if the mycelium of the fungus does not get enough oxygen or doesn’t have the correct soil to survive in, then under the right circumstances, a fungus fruiting body can develop that grows underground. We call this sclerotia or truffle.

Truffles, therefore, are the underground product of different species of mushrooms. Both hallucinogenic mushrooms and truffles contain the psychoactive substances psilocin, psilocybin, baeocystin and norbaeocystin. Both are funguses, but not in the same form.

There are stories that magic truffles are weaker than magic mushrooms. This isn’t always the case, so beware. A mushroom grows in different phases. The last phase is the most potent, but is not equally potent for all mushrooms. Truffles of the same species are all roughly the same strength, and for that reason they are much easier to dose and, therefore, safer to consume.

I have had amazing experiences on both magic mushrooms and truffles, and they are quite similar in terms of experience. The difference between magic mushrooms and magic truffles is minute in my opinion. A psilocybin trip is a highly personal experience that is different for everyone. For me, it is always a question of the dose and, of course, the set and setting.

The effects of magic truffles

Taking magic truffles leads to an entirely different level of sensual perception and often also causes hallucinations. You start seeing colours and patterns, you are more sensitive to light, and you experience everything far more intensely. Drinking a cup of warm tea or eating a sweet strawberry can be a tremendously intense experience while under their influence.

Magic truffles are also often used for their therapeutic effect. Many people arrive at a certain level in their consciousness that they are usually unable to reach. This helps them gain insights that make them happier people and change their lives for the better.

Magic truffles contain the same psychoactive substances as magic mushrooms, and, consequently, have the same effects. Just like with magic mushrooms, some truffles are stronger than others, but the effect is the same; a lovely trip in which you experience more special things than the average person does in a year!

A lot of research has been done into the effect of psilocin and psilocybin that you can use to your advantage. Read my article, the effects of psilocin and psilocybin, for more information.

Dosing magic truffles

Erowid once said: “Determining the right quantity of magic truffles can make the difference between a positive and a negative experience”. As a regular user, I know this to be true. A dose that is too low can cause irritation and discomfort, like having too much coffee before bed. A dose which is too high is much more unpleasant, can be frightening and can even cause a bad trip.

Everybody responds to truffles and magic mushrooms differently, so it’s important to find out what is pleasant for you. If you don’t have a lot of experience with psychedelics, I advise you to take less. This way, you can avoid an unpleasant experience.

Albert Hoffman, a scientist specialised in psychedelics, says that the average oral dose of psilocybin for an adult is between 4 and 8 milligrams. Converted, this means the following:

5-10 grams of fresh truffles for a light trip, perfect for beginners

10-15 grams of fresh truffles for a medium trip

15-20 grams of fresh truffles for a heavy trip, only for experienced trippers

20-40 grams of fresh truffles for a trip at the highest level, only for the real psychonauts

I am confident that most people will have a lovely trip if they take 15 grams of fresh truffles. But, if you’re taking it for the first time, I recommend taking half a portion (7.5 g) to find out how you respond to it. Read more in my article dosing magic truffles for more information on determining the correct quantity.

Taking magic truffles

When we started growing truffles 10 years ago, the taste of the magic truffle wasn’t great. This was mostly because the truffles had a growing period of four months, as a result of which they contained a lot of moisture and tasted acidic. Today, we have been able to extend the growing period to one year; the truffles now contain more sugar and are tastier.

You can eat the truffles, allowing you to taste them well. When eating truffles for the first time, you will have to get used to the taste. They taste a little nutty, bitter, with a hint of butter. You could compare it to the taste of walnuts. By chewing properly, you achieve the maximum effects, which will be noticeable within 15 to 60 minutes.

There are also other ways to ingest truffles; by making tea for example. Cook a pan of water, then allow it to cool while cutting the truffles into small pieces. Add the truffles to the water and reheat the water again. Don’t allow the water to come to the boil, because that will destroy the active substances. Leave the truffles in the water for 15 minutes, and add flavour using sugar or honey.

In my free e-book, there’s lots of information regarding taking magic truffles and shrooms. There are also many recipes and there is advice provided regarding the consumption of these fantastic natural products. Make sure you download it via this link.

Tripping on magic truffles

Taking magic truffles is quite an experience, and not something you should do unprepared. Here, I provide a brief overview of the most important factors to consider and I strongly advise you to read my complete magic truffle trip guide. In this guide, step-by-step, I explain what you need to pay attention to and what you can do if things don’t go as planned.

Firstly, it is important that you feel well before taking magic truffles or shrooms. It can strengthen your mood, so don’t take them if you feel depressed, aggressive or sad, for example. Don’t combine them with other drugs or alcohol, particularly if you’re a novice tripper.

Secondly, your surroundings are very important. I strongly advise everybody to trip at home the first few times. This is a very safe and trusted environment in which you have complete control. You decide whether you want to listen to music or whether the television is switched on. You have access to food and drink and it is always very nice to lie down during your trip, which is a little odd to do if you’re out on the street.

Thirdly, you should have someone around who’s sober. This particularly applies to new users. You see, hear and feel things that aren’t real, and that can be quite confusing. It is pleasant to have someone to talk to and someone who can comfort you. If things become scary, this person can also take you out of your trip and calm you down.

I’ll say it again: please read my magic truffle trip guide before taking truffles or shrooms. This guide is chock-full of tips, my own experiences and those of fellow trippers and fun suggestions for during tripping.

The history of magic truffles

Shrooms are as old as the world. The first depictions of hallucinogenic mushrooms can be found in the Sahara Desert. They are estimated to be around 8000 years old. The idea that the use of hallucinogenic substances was a source of inspiration for these images is not new. Research into these images concluded that hallucinogenic mushrooms were often painted.

Psychoactive funguses of the Psilocybe genus have been used for more than 3000 years in Central America. In Mesoamerica (the cultural area consisting of Central Mexico and Nicaragua), holy mushrooms have been used to connect with worlds that are usually outside of our realm of consciousness for as long as people can remember.

History magic truffles

But, generally speaking, only mushrooms were used for their psychedelic effects, and not magic truffles. This is because it is much easier to find or grow mushrooms than it is to grow magic truffles. Because they grow under the ground, they are not visible to the naked eye. It also takes a lot longer to grow magic truffles; up to 9 months until they are ready for harvesting.

Actually, interest in the magic truffle only really took off when Dutch law forbade the magic mushroom. This law specifically states that only mushrooms containing the substances psilocybin and psilocin are illegal for large-scale growth and trade, thereby excluding the magic truffle. These, therefore, are still legal and freely available.
